He leaped, his body fully extended in the air like a fish thrown from the water, and headed the ball over the head of Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas. That goal was called "The Flying Dutchman"—after landing, van Persie's face showed not ecstasy, but an expression of "I can't believe I just did that."
